I can’t believe the Inauguration is tomorrow. I was able to watch a bit of the opening ceremony yesterday before I had to leave to NAMM, but as I was sitting there I noticed this weird look on my dad’s face and I asked, “what’s wrong?” My mom answered for him, “he’s a McCain supporter.” I fired back, “Oh God, it’s over, it’s in the past and in front of us is the future. Embrace it.”
In the immortal words of Lincoln:
Fellow-citizens, we cannot escape history. We of this Congress and this administration, will be remembered in spite of ourselves. No personal significance, or insignificance, can spare one or another of us. The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation.
Eeeeep, I can’t wait!
